Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was crucified, died, and arose from the dead so that you and I can be saved from our sins. Jesus wants you to be saved so that you will live eternally with Him in Heaven. Choosing to accept Jesus’ salvation is the most important decision you will ever make. It is a choice between living with Jesus eternally in Heaven and living without him eternally in Hell. Choose life! Choose Jesus!
Being saved means that you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died and was resurrected from the dead for the sins of all people, you have repented and continue to repent for all the sins you have committed, and you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When we are saved and become followers of Christ, we are forgiven for the past sins we have committed and we are given life anew in Christ. Go to Top of Page.
Why do I need to be saved?
Choosing to be saved is the most important decision you will ever make. It is literally a choice between eternal salvation and eternal damnation. Being saved is so critically important because all sin separates us from God, even a “little white lie”. God is holy and righteous and cannot tolerate sin. Consequently, those people who have not had their sins forgiven will spend all eternity in Hell separated from God. That is eternal damnation. The Bible says, “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal”. Matthew 25:46. The Bible also says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NLT. It is not God’s intent that any person spends eternity damned to Hell. That is why He has given us this wonderful free gift: forgiveness of our sins and salvation through his Son, Jesus Christ. When we are saved, we will escape eternal damnation for sin and have eternal life with Christ. Go to Top of Page.
Who needs to be saved?
All human beings who have ever walked the Earth have sinned, except Jesus Christ. A “sin” can be something as serious as committing a murder or as simple as merely thinking an impure thought. The Bible says that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. The Bible also says that "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8. That means that no matter how good a person you think you are, no matter how clean your lifestyle, no matter how much you do to help other people, no matter how much you love your fellow man, you are still a sinner and you still need to be saved and have your sins forgiven. What are the benefits of being saved?
We will use Audrey as an example. Before accepting Christ as her savior and being saved, Audrey’s life was in turmoil. She was a single mother struggling to raise her children and one problem after another arose. She turned to alcohol and cigarettes but those things only caused depression. One day a Christian lady told her about the love of Christ and Audrey looked at herself and decided that she needed to be saved from her sins. The Bible says that God so loved the world the he gave his only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins (John 3:16). She repented of her sins and received the Holy Spirit. As a result, her life is in order now. She can depend on God and her burdens have been lifted. She has a close relationship with Jesus and can look to him to supply all her needs. Jesus provides protection from all the evil in the world and gives his people peace when everything around them is going topsy-turvy. Like Audrey, once you give your heart and life to Christ, His peace will sustain you and you, too, will have a blessed hope beyond this present world.
One day soon, Jesus will be coming back to take Audrey and all those who are saved to Heaven. Don’t you want to go? Go to Top of Page.
What happens if I don’t get saved?
The Bible plainly teaches that there will be no escape to those who refuse to be saved. Hebrews 2:3. God loved us so much that he sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to die for the sins of the world. He accepted the punishment we deserve for our sins. Those who reject Christ as Savior will spend eternity in Hell. It is that simple.
You do not have to remain in your sins. There is a way out. Won’t you choose Jesus today and ensure your eternal life with Christ? Go to Top of Page.
Is Jesus the only way to be saved?
Yes, Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved.
God loves each and every person so much that He devised a plan for our salvation from sin so that we can have a relationship and eternal life with Him. Salvation comes through God's Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible explains that "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. Jesus, who is God incarnate, is the only person to have lived without committing one single sin. Jesus willingly gave up His life by dying on a cross for our sins. Though his death, Jesus took the punishment we deserve and through his shed divine blood, our sins are washed away. After three days, Jesus conquered death and sin when he came back to life! Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying." John 11:25 NLT. That means that after we die we will live eternally with Christ if we believe on Jesus Christ and are saved.
Some people teach that all religions and beliefs lead to eternal life. That is not true; it is a lie. Jesus said, "I am the bread of life" (John 6:35), and "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Jesus is the only way to be saved because He is the only one who has paid the penalty for our sins. No other religion provides the payment and forgiveness of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. The Bible says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Therefore, faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. All other religions, including Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, are false and will lead to eternal damnation. Go to Top of Page.
